The Rolette County Commissioners are accepting applications for a full time Interim Auditor. Minimum qualifications are a high school diploma, with preference given to individuals whom have experience. The Auditor is the chief financial officer, the elections administrator, property tax administrator, Superintendent of Schools Designee, Road Administrator and the secretary to the County Commissioners. Duties include but are not limited to maintaining accounting system and records to safeguard County assets, administer annual budget process and prepare the preliminary budget, manage accounts payable system including processing all payments, processing payroll, establishing levies, apportioning of all tax collections and preparing monthly financial reports. Responsible to perform all statutory duties of the County Auditor, per NDCC 11-13. Annual salary of $50,000.00 plus benefits, negotiable DOE. The Deputy Auditor’s major function is to assist the County Auditor in a timely and professional manner in all aspects of the job and to perform the job in the absence of the County Auditor. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to operating office equipment, compute, code and post pertinent information and check for accuracy and completeness in all ledgers as required by this office, prepare and update all functions of the payroll process. The Deputy Auditor must be able to understand and administrate all laws pertaining to county tax foreclosure, taxable valuations, mill levies, tax lists, election laws. The Deputy Auditor also performs the Risk Manager Duties and Road Administration Assistant Duties. Annual salary of $43,000.00 plus benefits.
